These days I pretend I'm with you when I'm by myself
It's so sad how I can't think about anything else
I spend all my time lost in my mind
And I'm starting to see spaceships in Athens
Please don't go away - I have plans to start a garden with you
I could tell you all about yourself - things you wouldn't hear other men say
I can't make it through the day unless I defeat these fantasies with realities
And you know I wanna talk to you more than anyone else around
You let me listen to your problems all day as if you really care what I think (you do)

And everyone around you starts seeming really strange

When the nighttime comes I can return to knowing nothing really matters
In my kingdom of nothing all my followers must be the moths

Waiting to be taken away, through the void, to another planet

Another summer nears and this time I've almost a clue

With each new season I'm feeling more open
Let nymphic wonders come dancing my way
I can waste so many nights reflecting on the lonely past
Or give myself to the seas, blind tied to the mast
The breeze hits just right and I feel open
And everyone around then won't stop telling me that I'm broken
I gotta raise my spirits high to bring up how low I'm down
Ready to share with my dearest friends? Well, I don't have those around
The world is a wealth of opportunities, lying ahead
I'll lie to myself often while drinking wine in bed

But it gets to hard to connect with or even remember all that's slipping away

My world's come and gone, my surroundings all faded
My close friends traded with strangers to pick up in the middle of all of my broken dreams
